I hate Lunar Chinese New YearReason 1: I need to go back to Malaysia which most of my relatives are there. Malaysia is not a bad place if u are in those city area, but unfortunately i will be going those very traditional village and 'kampong' places which had absolutely no computer, no Internet, no video games, no shopping center, no anime, absolutely nothing. And some more I'm force to go every year.... so due to this i will be inactive from 16th to 21th of February.
Reason 2: The Chinese new year songs sucks real hard. If you don't know how bad it is, it is worst than code geass 2nd op. And these songs WERE PLAYED EVERYWHERE.
Reason 3: I hate my relatives. Many of them are self centered, inconsiderate, sarcastic, amazon and just childish. Example: " Aiyo!(Asian slang) i think you grow fatter compared to last year you know, u should do more exercise like me, see i sooo slim. How is your school result? You know ar(Asian slang), my ah boy(Asian slang) score 4 A's for his end of year result leh(Asian slang), i think he should be able to go better school than you hor?(Asian slang).
In any case... my favorite is still Christmas, although I'm not a Christian, the mood is simply way better than Lunar Chinese New Year.

I do understand that it's hard to live without the things we got used to, but I think it's nice to get away from them once in a while, and rest a bit. Although seeing the environment you're going to travel to, makes me wonder if I have a point or not T_T I feel sorry about your relatives (and you) but you shouldn't hate them

as for your reason 2, well, it'll eventually end after the festival...anyway those songs r juz to creat an atmosphere. maybe u can stuck a earphone and listen to fav songs from disman or mp3...etc
